At the end of every year, we put together our nominees for our illustrious awards show but there is one catch. Just like the improv show, Who’s Line Is It Anyway?, our awards are made up and the winners don’t matter. But that doesn’t mean we can’t give something away. Here are our nominees:
Canadian Caveman Award (best bludgeoning with a blunt object in a video game)
Brawlhalla: Sidra bashing Ada with a cannon for the kill
Super Mario Odyssey: Mario using his magical hat to take control of a giant stone fist to punch a floating Aztec stone head.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: Link beating on a Lynel with a tree branch, even if it’s unsuccessful.
For Honor: The Shugoki smashing a helpless player off a ledge with the Kanabo.
Frog of the Opera Award (best collaboration of cinematics, dialogue and score in a video game trailer)
