The 2nd Review

Destiny: Age of Triumph or Age of Not Care?

Destiny has been a game that we have described before as a franchise suffering from Bi-Polar disorder (no offense to anyone who suffers from it) and that it has had its highs and lows throughout the last 3 years. From the very beginning with the introduction of the Vault of Glass (fan fav) raid to the more recent SIVA crisis and the Wrath of the Machine raid, Destiny and Bungie have seemed to have random bouts of disconnect with the fans by not keeping players around with consistently fresh content. Although the SRS, Iron Banner and random PvE missions (the ones you receive randomly via Ghost while playing PvE) were fun, there just wasn’t enough to keep players engaged over the long haul.

That brings us to the final chapter in Destiny 1 with the Age of Triumph. The Age of Triumph will most likely be last big content update until Destiny 2 releases later this year. But what is The Age of Triumph? The Age of Triumph is the largest record book they have ever offered to date that takes a look back at everything you’ve done over the course of the last 3 years with Destiny.

Currently they will be having weekly reveals about what is coming up for this event as it leads you to the end of your journey in the known Destiny Universe.

  • March 8: Age of Triumph Reveal
  • March 15: Age of Triumph Weekly Rituals
  • March 22: Age of Triumph Sandbox Update

In a message from Bungie: “We’ll look back upon the three incredible years we’ve shared as a community, and look ahead to some final challenges and rewards that await you in the weeks ahead,” which will come to those still playing as a source of cheers and jeers. They plan on releasing this new update towards the end of March and will be updating you via their Official Twitch channel about all the changes coming to the game.

It’s time for one more trip, are you ready?
