The Division 2 Confirmed

Earlier today, it was confirmed that The Division 2 was in development. The Division, which was released 2 years ago saw some issues with a majority of it’s player-base dropping within the first few months of its release has seen a steady influx of those players and new players returning to the Dark Zone for some of the new loot. Not much is known about the sequel other than its announcement by the creative director at Massive Entertainment in which he says:

We’re thrilled to announce that we are working on Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, and that development will be led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Bucharest. The Division 2 will be powered by an updated version of the Snowdrop engine that enables us to realize our ambitions for the sequel, but more importantly, we’re also taking everything we learned over the past two years and applying it towards the sequel to make sure we get it right.

This is an interesting note as The Division still has alot of potential left to discover via DLC but maybe this world that The Division is apart of is sort-of like 28 Weeks Later where at the end the virus still got out. But as of right now there is nothing else out other than this statement but with a statement so close to E3, we might get some kind of trailer then explaining what’s going on.

We will update this post as new information comes to light, so stay tuned.
