8. Story Mode: Introduces Android 21 created an army of androids that mimic all of the Z fighters which takes you (as Goku) across 3 stages as you fight the androids and try to figure out what is Android 21’s and the newly resurrected Android 16’s plan.
According to some fans, they believe that the story takes place after the end of Dragon Ball Z and between the end of the Future Trunks Saga and the beginning of the Universe Survival Saga based on the designs of some of the characters.

7. Online Mode:
Circle Match Mode: which will host 8 fighters in a single lobby which have up to four matches running at a single moment
Ranked
Casual (unranked)

6. Esports? It is known that the reason the game is styled the way it is, was to appease both the casual and the tournament players so it is yet to be seen if it will happen. It is apparent that the switch from 3D back to 2D (2.5D to be exact) was to make the game enjoyable yet easy to understand what was happening on screen, in factTomomi Hiroki was quoted saying:
“We tried to merge these two elements that were really a match made for each other”.

5. The game offers a 3v3 game mechanic (just like Marvel v Capcom 2), which makes the matches seem crazier.

4. Controls: the game boasts simple fighting controls such as light, medium and heavy attacks along with an energy attack. but the inclusion of the charge bar is reminesent of MvC2 days where you can charge it up to release a massive single attack or get your team for an even larger energy attack.
There is also the inclusion of a vanish attack which teleports you behind your opponent, super dash which closes the gap between you and your opponent, team assists and tagging, and ultimate team assist which launches a massive attack.

3. Shenron: using a specific combo system, you will collect Dragon Balls during the fight and if you collect all of them, you will summon Shenron which will grant you a wish. you can choose from ‘Restore My Health’, ‘Bring Back My Ally’, ‘Give Me The Ultimate Power’ or ‘Make Me Immortal’ which can turn the tide of a battle into your favor.

2. Art Style: The dev team really took a page out of every fan’s wishlist when it came to the style of the game. Taking a page out of Guilty Gear or Blazblue, the art style of Dragon Ball FighterZ makes it look almost identical to the art style of Dragon Ball Super making the player feel like they are in the Anime.
